Dairy-free but just as delicious and rich, 4-ingredient vegan hot chocolate. This is so easy it barely counts as a recipe but the result is seriously rich so a little definitely goes a long way.
Ingredients (serves 2 large mugs or 4 teacups)
- 1 cup dairy-free dark chocolate chips
- 2 cups non-dairy milk
- 1/4 non-dairy cream
- 1/4 cup agave syrup
Add all the ingredients to a saucepan over a low heat (below a simmer) to melt together. Whisk gently throughout the ensure the chocolate doesn’t burn.
Once the mixture becomes an even colour the chocolate has melted and you can turn up the heat slightly. Keep stirring until steam starts to come off and then take it off the heat.
To turn this recipe into a chocolate sauce, use only 1 cup of the non-dairy milk and 1/2 cup more of the non-dairy cream. The result is much thicker and can be used as a chocolate drizzle or dipping sauce for various desserts.
